Today we will do Baked potatoes with ham and cheese. It is a simple recipe that you can make any day of the week. It has several rows of potatoes, ham and cheese, covered with cream, eggs and a layer of mozzarella, cheddar and emmentaler.

Ingredient:
1 kg of sliced ​​potatoes
500 grams of sliced ​​bacon
4 eggs
200 grams of grated cheese (I have a mixture of mozzarella, cheddar and emmentaler, but you can use as many times as you want, even cheese)
300 grams of sliced ​​cheese
400 ml of cream for cooking
salt and pepper to taste

We start by seasoning the potatoes with salt and pepper.

In a 30 cm tray we start to build the food. Put a layer of potato slices, a layer of bacon and a slice of cheese. We repeat this step twice more.

Put the beaten eggs with the fork, salt and pepper to taste over the cooking cream and mix everything well. Pour the mixture over the potatoes. Put the grated cheese on top.

Bake potatoes at 200 degrees Celsius for about an hour, or until the potatoes are fully cooked and nicely browned on top.

Look how good it looks! All the layers look so good. The cooking cream formed a sauce that covered the potatoes. It is an absolutely delicious food that you must try.

About the beneficial effects of marinating meat I told a lot here. Saramura (brine in lb. English) is a simple marinade composed of water, salt and spices or aromatic herbs (optional). The day before I marinated the meat. I put the ribs in cold salted water, dried onion and garlic flakes and finely chopped hot peppers (chili flakes). You can use finely chopped fresh onions and garlic instead of dehydrated ones. I covered the box with a lid and left the meat in the fridge until morning.

The next day I took the ribs out of the brine, drained them well, wiped them with absorbent towels and left them on the kitchen table to reach room temperature.

I cleaned the onion, carrots, garlic and then I seasoned the meat well with pepper, paprika and cumin. I was careful with the salt because the ribs were in brine. I placed the ribs in the tray. I cut the onion, tomatoes, carrots and garlic into pieces. I poured 100 ml of water and about 300 ml of blond beer into the tray (I used Carlsberg). It is not wrong if you choose a dark beer. If you do not want to use beer then put all the water.

I put a lid or aluminum foil over the tray and put the pork ribs in the preheated oven at 140 ° C on the function up + down + ventilation (low stage in gas ovens) for 3 and a half hours. It is a slow baking at low temperature.


Preparation

Preheat the oven to 200 ° C (top and bottom heat).

Wash the potatoes and dry them with a paper towel.

Using a sharp knife, pierce the peel of the potatoes from place to place, grease them with olive oil and sprinkle salt on them to taste.

Wrap the prepared potatoes in aluminum foil and bake in the oven for about 1.5 hours.

Remove the potatoes from the oven. Remove the foil and cut them lengthwise (not at all, but about two-thirds). While they are still hot, sprinkle the mixture of Mediterranean plants and chilli flakes inside them and add a cube of butter in the middle of each one.

Tip: Alternatively, instead of the classic butter you can use our recipe for flavored butter with dill and lemon.

Dissolve the starch in soy milk or water and bring to a boil over low heat. Stir continuously until it thickens, then set it aside and let it cool. After it has cooled, transfer the starch mixture to a bowl, add a little oil and mix. We also add mustard (I used a mustard with seeds, but the simple one is also good) and tahini, and for the yellowish color a little turmeric. Add the garlic clove given first press, sliced ​​green onion stalks, lemon juice and spices to taste.

This time I used white potatoes, because they cook faster than red ones.

In a pan, put 100-110 ml of oil and turn the sliced ​​potatoes in it.

Peel them a few times with oil to be greased on all sides, then sprinkle salt, spices and basil over them, as well as cleaned and sliced ​​garlic cloves.

Put the tray in the oven for 40 minutes at 180 degrees.

We caramelize the vegetables

Carrot, parsnip and parsley root, clean, wash and scrape as large as possible. I also scraped them with the cleaner, because I wanted the strips to stay large.

Peeled onions, chop julienne, as well as peppers.

Put the oil in a hot pan and add the grated vegetables plus onions.

Season with salt, pepper and thyme, cover the pan and let it simmer until the vegetables are slightly simmered.

When the vegetables start to soften slightly, add the pepper, let it penetrate for a few more minutes, then add the sugar, mix lightly, and when it melts, add the balsamic vinegar.

They turned out good, especially because I prepared them in butter and olive oil.
